BSEB Result 2024: What is Bihar Toppers’ Interview?

Over the years, there have been many scams that have come out related to Bihar Board examination toppers. Due to this, the board had to face a lot of embarrassment and scrutiny in the media. There have been cases where the toppers’ age was tampered with, and sometimes a failed student was made the topper. As a result, the Bihar Education Board decided to conduct interviews with the toppers to check their credibility. For this year’s results, the toppers’ interview begins today, i.e., March 18. The final result for the examinations is expected to be declared between March 20-24.

BSEB Result 2024: How is The Verification Done?

During the process of Bihar Board Toppers’ Verification, around 13–14 examiners interview each topper. In total, every examiner asks around 30–40 questions from every student on the Bihar Board’s toppers list. All the questions asked are related to the syllabus of the Bihar Board exam. Apart from that, basic English-related questions are also asked. If there are any discrepancies, then the toppers’ list is changed.

Looking at the records of Bihar Board results over the last few years, many controversies came into the limelight. One of the most popular was Ruby Roy, who passed 12th grade in 2006 with an arts stream. During her interview, it was found that she called ‘Political Science’ as ‘Practical Science’. After this incident, the BSEB decided to focus more on these discrepancies. During the verification process, even the handwriting of the students is matched.
