After providing free medical and engineering coaching to students of their board, Bihar Board has now extended the initiative to CBSE and ICSE Board students as well. Previously, only students from Bihar Board-affiliated schools could avail themselves of this opportunity. However, the Bihar Board has decided to broaden the scope of this scheme to include students from CBSE and ICSE boards.
Selection for the free coaching program will be based on entrance examinations and interviews. Interested candidates, including those appearing for the 10th board exams this year, can apply online on the coaching.biharboardonline.com website until February 25. The application deadline was initially February 8 but has been extended. There is an application fee of Rs 100 per candidate.
In an advertisement, the Bihar School Examination Board announced that students enrolled in the Inter-Science program through the Bihar School Examination Board, regardless of their board affiliation, are eligible for this free educational program. However, if a student does not enrol in the Inter-Science program, their candidacy will be automatically cancelled.
Selected students will receive free medical and engineering coaching at educational centres established in divisional headquarters. Each divisional headquarters will have 100 seats, with 50 reserved for boys and 50 for girls in both medical (NEET-UG) and engineering (JEE) preparation programs. Selection will be based on merit.
This initiative aims to provide equal opportunities for students from different boards to prepare for medical and engineering entrance exams, regardless of their financial background. It underscores the commitment of the Bihar Board to support students in their pursuit of higher education and career goals.
