The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Calcutta kicked off the registration process for the Common Admission Test (CAT) 2024 today, August 1. Candidates who meet the prerequisites can register for the test and check the official schedule at iimcat.ac.in, the official CAT 2024 a website. The application window will end on September 13. Meanwhile, registration for non-IIM institutions has also begun.
While the exam structure stays unaltered this year, the CAT 2024 will be held in three sessions on November 24, using computer-based testing mode. Admit cards for the CAT 2024 will be made available by IIM Calcutta from November 5 and November 24, as per the public announcement. The CAT 2024 results are expected to be published around the second or third week of January 2025.
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree with a CGPA that is equivalent to or over 50 per cent of the attainable points. Candidates who belong to the Persons with Disability (PwD), Scheduled Caste (SC), and Scheduled Tribe (ST) categories must fulfil a minimum of 45 per cent of the criteria mentioned in the official notification.
CAT 2024: How To Apply?
Step 1: Visit the official CAT website at iimcat.ac.in.
Step 2: Click the link labelled “New Candidate Registration.”
Step 3: Fill out the relevant registration information.
Step 4: Sign in with your credentials and submit your academic and personal information.
Step 5: Based on your preferences, select the IIMs and programs that you would like to attend.
Step 6: Select the cities for the exam based on your preferences.
Step 7: Upload all requested copies and pay the application fee.
Step 8: After reviewing your application, click the submit button.
Step 9: Save the CAT 2024 application confirmation page for your records.
CAT 2024: Application Fee
Candidates must pay the CAT 2024 application fee in order to complete their registration. The application fee is Rs 2,500 for applicants in the general category who are classified as Economically Weaker Section (EWS). Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste, Scheduled Tribe, or Person with Disabilities (PwD) groups, on the other hand, have to pay the Rs 1,250 registration charge for CAT 2024.
