The Gujarat Common Entrance Test (GUJCET) 2024 is slated to take place today, March 31. The Gujarat Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board (GSHSEB) has released the admit cards and candidates are advised to carry the same as without it they will not be allowed to enter the exam hall. As per the official notice, physics, and chemistry will be held from 10 am to noon; biology from 1 pm to 2 pm; and mathematics from 3 pm to 4 pm.

Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall/examination place after of the exam starts. They have been advised to carry a good quality black ballpoint pen for filling in the information and answers in the answer sheet. They must not carry any other material except the admission card in the examination hall, the official notice states.

“Any type of material such as textbook, any reference literature, slide rules, printed or handwritten log table, Xeroxed writing, chits, cellular phone, pager or any type of instrument or literature will not be allowed in the examintion hall. Only Admission Card and simple calculator will be allowed in the examination hall,” reads the official notice.

GUJCET ADMIT CARD 2024: HOW TO DOWLOAD?

Candidates who applied for the GUJCET 2024 exam can check and download their admit cards directly from the board’s official website at gujcet.gseb.org.

Step 1: Visit the official website at gujcet.gseb.org.

Step 2: Next on the homepage you will have to find the link that says ‘Click here to Download GUJCET 2024 Hall ticket’.

Step 3: Once you click on it, a new page should now appear on your screen.

Step 4: The next step requires you to enter the login credentials as required and then hit submit.

Step 5: The GUJCET 2024 admit card should now be visible on your screen.

Step 6: Check for any mistakes and then download the admit card.

Step 7: Take a printout of the document as you will be required to carry it to the examination hall.

GUJCET 2024: EXAM PATTERN

The GUJCET 2024 exam will comprise two question papers. Subjects including Physics and Chemistry will be combined into a single paper carrying 80 marks for 80 questions. Two hours will be allotted to the candidates to finish these sections. The second paper will have 40 questions from Mathematics and Biology, carrying 40 marks. Candidates will be given 60 more minutes to finish the second question paper. The exam paper will be available in multiple languages including Gujarati, Hindi and English. You must specify your language preference in the application form itself.

GUJCET is conducted by the GSEB for the admission of candidates into higher courses that include a degree in engineering and a degree/diploma in pharmacy courses. Candidates who are either going to appear or have passed the HSC exam science stream from other boards will be eligible to take this exam. The exam was originally set for April 2 but the 2024 CBSE board exams led to the GSHSEB rescheduling the dates to avoid any clashes.
