The Institute of Banking & Personnel Selection (IBPS) has extended the registration deadline for the recruitment of Probationary Officers (PO) and Specialist Officers (SO). Earlier the last date to apply was August 21 but it has been extended till August 28. Interested and eligible candidates who are yet to apply for the posts may do so by visiting the IBPS official website at ibps.in.
This year, IBPS PO 2024 is being held to fill 4,455 vacancies in 11 participating banks. This includes 1846 seats for general category candidates, 1185 seats for OBC, 657 for SC, 332 for ST and 435 for EWS. A total of 896 SO posts will be filled through the recruitment drive in the participating banks.
IBPS PO, SO Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: To be eligible for IBPS PO and SO 2024, a candidate must be at least 20 years old and cannot be older than 30.
Education Qualification: As per official notice, candidates must have a graduate degree from the relevant discipline from an Indian government-approved university to sit for the IBPS PO or SO exams. One should also have a basic understanding of computers. Candidates should also possess fluency in the reading, writing, and speaking parts of the official language of the State or UT in which they are applying.
IBPS PO, SO Recruitment 2024: How to Apply
Step 1. Check the official IBPS website at ibps.in.
Step 2. Look for the IBPS PO or SO recruitment notification link on the homepage.
Step 3. Now click on the “Apply Online” link.
Step 4. Register yourself by providing details like name, contact number, email address, etc if you are a new user.
Step 5. Now log in using your credentials and fill out the application form with the required information.
Step 6. Upload the necessary scanned copies.
Step 7. Pay the necessary fee charges from pay options.
Step 8. Review the application form before submitting it.
Step 9. Download and print your application form for future reference.
IBPS PO, SO Recruitment 2024: Application Fees
The IBPS PO and SO application fee is Rs. 850 for general applicants and Rs. 175 for candidates falling under the SC, ST, and PWD categories. Candidates should note that the fees once submitted will be non-refundable.
The Pre-Examination Training (PET) for PO will be held in September and the online preliminary examination will be conducted in October. The result will be announced in October/ November. Those who clear the exam will next be called to appear for the mains exam which will be held in November this year.
In case of the IBPS SO exam, the preliminary exam will be held in November and the results will be out by December. Those who clear the prelims will next be called for the mains exam which will take place in December and the results will be declared in January/ February.
