NTA revised the date for the JEE Main Answer Key Challenge 2024. Candidates can raise objections until tomorrow, February 9, 2024

The National Testing Agency (NTA) issued the provisional answer key for the JEE Main 2024 Session 1 on February 6. Candidates can now download the provisional answer key from the official website at jeemain.nta.ac.in. Those who are not satisfied with the answer key can also raise objections as well. This year, Session 1 of the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) was administered by the exam conducting body between January 24 and February 1.

As per the latest updates, the NTA has extended the last date for the JEE Main 2024 answer key challenge. Candidates can now raise objections until tomorrow, February 9, 2024. Earlier the deadline to challenge the answer key was February 8, and now the date has been extended by one day. According to the official notice, the date has been revised owing to a technical glitch in the server.

“The process for submitting a challenge to the Provisional Answer Keys (if any) online by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 200 per question challenged will be as per the Procedure given in Annexure 1. The schedule has been revised due to a technical glitch in the server,” reads the official notice.

JEE Main 2024 Session 1 Answer Key: Steps To Raise Objection

Step 1: Go to the official site at jeemain.nta.ac.in

Step 2: On the homepage, look for and click on the ‘Challenge (s) regarding Answer Key’ link.

Step 3: Log in using your Application Number and Date of Birth (DoB).

Step 4: Then click on the ‘Challenge (s) regarding Answer Key’ link. The Question IDs for JEE Main 2024 Session 1 will appear on the screen.

Step 5: The ID next to the question under the ‘Correct Option’ tab stands for the correct Answer Key by NTA.

Step 6: Those who wish to challenge the option, can use one or more of the Option IDs by clicking the check box.

Step 7: Candidates must upload supporting documents as well.

Step 8: After clicking the desired option, scroll down and click on ‘Save your claim’.

Step 9: Finally, you will be able to see a display of all the Option IDs that you have challenged. Remember to click on ‘Save your claim and Pay Fee.’

Candidates who are unhappy with the JEE Main Session 1 answer key can file a challenge online by paying a non-refundable processing fee of Rs 200 per question, as per the procedure.

If a candidate’s challenge is found to be correct, the JEE Main answer key will be revised and applied to all candidates’ responses accordingly. The result will be prepared and released at the appropriate time based on the revised final answer keys.
