The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is set to conclude the application process for the positions of Constable (General Duty) in the Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, Rifleman (GD) in the Assam Rifles, and Sepoy in the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB). In a recent notification, SSC emphasised that the registration deadline will not be extended. Candidates who have not yet applied can do so until October 14 at 11:00 p.m. on the official website,ssc.gov.in. This recruitment campaign aims to fill a total of 39,481 positions across various paramilitary groups and Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs).
The official notice read, “In the interest of the candidates of Constable (GD) in Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and SSF, Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles, and Sepoy in Narcotics Control Bureau Examination, 2025 that they should submit their Online Application Form much before the closing date i.e., 14.10.2024 and not wait till the last date to avoid the possibility of rush on account of heavy load on the website during the closing days. Candidates are further cautioned that no extension of the last date for submission of the Online Application Form shall be granted under any circumstances.
SSC GD Constable 2025: Application Fee
There is a Rs 100 application fee for the exam. Candidates who are women, SC, ST or qualifying ex-servicemen (ESM) are not required to pay the application cost.
SSC GD Constable 2025: How To Apply?
Step 1. Go tossc.gov.in, the official website of the SSC.
Step 2. Click the application link for SSC GD.
Step 3. Complete the SSC GD 2025 registration form.
Step 4. Upload the signed document and scanned photo.
Step 5. Complete the application form for SSC GD 2025.
Step 6. Cover the application fee for SSC GD.
Step 7. Save the confirmation page after submitting it for future use.
SSC GD Constable 2025: Eligibility
Applicants for the positions must be between the ages of 18 and 23 on January 1, 2025. Age relaxation will be granted to candidates who fall within reserved categories. Applying for these positions is open to anyone who, on or before January 1, 2025, passed the Class 10 or Matriculation exam.
SSC GD Constable 2025: Selection Process
Computer-Based Test (CBT): General Knowledge (GK), Language (English/Hindi), Mathematics and Intelligence and Reasoning. Each subject will have twenty questions, with two marks given for a correct response. There will be a 0.5 mark deduction for each incorrect response.
Physical Examinations (PET/PMT): Upon passing the CBT, candidates will be scheduled for a Physical Measurement Test (PMT) and a Physical Efficiency Test
Document Verification: Those applicants who pass the PMT and PET exams move on to the document verification phase.
Medical Exam: Those who meet the requirements for document verification will have a medical exam.
