The Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DMET), Uttar Pradesh has released the official schedule for the National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test – Undergraduate (NEET UG) 2024 Counselling Round 1. The authority will be beginning the registration process on August 20. Candidates can apply for the counselling process through the official website of UP NEET, upneet.gov.in.
As per the schedule, the deadline to apply for the UP NEET UG Counselling 2024 is August 24 till 2 pm. The authority will be declaring the merit list on August 24 and the choice-filling process will begin from August 24 to August 29. The UP NEET PG Counselling 2024 Round 1 seat allotment result will be announced on August 30.
How to register for UP NEET UG Counselling 2024?
Step 1: Navigate to the official website, upneet.gov.in.
Step 2: On the homepage, look for the UP NEET UG Counselling registration link and click on it.
Step 3: Provide the necessary information like NEET UG Score, Registration Certificate, Date of birth and a Valid Govt ID Proof.
Step 4: Pay the application fee and click on submit.
Step 5: Download and take a hard copy of the form for future reference.
Note that the NEET UG 2024 merit list will be used to determine admissions for all MBBS and BDS seats in private medical colleges, as well as 85 per cent of the state quota seats in government medical colleges.
UP NEET UG Counselling 2024: Application Fee
To apply for the UP NEET UG Counselling 2024 Round 1, candidates need to deposit a fee of Rs 2,000 through the official portal.
Additionally, it is mandatory for students to pay the security deposit online i.e. Rs 30,000 for Government state quota seats, Rs 2,00,000 for private medical college seats and Rs 1,00,000 for private dental college seats.
Only candidates who have completed the payment of the security deposit and had their original documents verified online will be eligible for the choice-filling procedure.
Candidates belonging to the Other Backward Classes (OBC), Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) will have to submit caste certificates in the prescribed format issued on or after April 1.
