The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) is set to oversee the UP Police Constable Recruitment 2024 which will be held from today, February 17 to February 18. Candidates preparing for the examination can download the UP-Constable Recruitment 2024 admit card from the official website, uppbpb.gov.in, using their registration number and date of birth.

This recruitment drive aims to occupy a substantial total of 60,244 vacancies for both male and female constables. Approximately 1,03,088 candidates will participate in the exam, spread across 47 centres in Gorakhpur district. The exam is scheduled in two shifts, with the morning shift set from 10 AM to 12 PM and the afternoon shift from 3 PM to 5 PM. The examination paper will encompass four distinct sections: general knowledge, general Hindi, numerical and mental ability tests, and intelligence and logical ability.

Applicants are required to attempt 150 questions within a two-hour time frame. Each correct answer will fetch two marks, while a penalty of 0.5 marks will be levied for every incorrect response. Moreover, candidates must utilize only black or blue ballpoint pens for marking the OMR answer sheet.

All questions, except those in the general Hindi section, will be presented in both Hindi and English languages. In instances of uncertainty or confusion, the English version will take precedence. It’s worth noting that question papers for each shift will be different and the normalization of marks procedure will be implemented.

If a question is found to be incorrect or if none of the answer options are suitable, it will be cancelled. After the written examination, candidates will undergo document verification, a physical standard test (PST), and an interview as part of the selection process.

To ensure a smooth exam process, inspectors and sub-inspectors are appointed as center supervisors, while revenue officers and other officials act as static magistrates. Moreover, discussions with ARM of Roadways have been conducted to enhance candidate transportation, with additional buses expected on high-traffic routes. The entire examination will be monitored via CCTV cameras, with footage streamed to a central control room.

Notably, candidates are advised to arrive at the examination center two hours before their designated shift timings. Entry into the exam center will require mandatory eye scanning as part of the security protocol. Candidates must comply with all security measures and instructions provided by exam officials to ensure a seamless process. Admit cards, accessible online through roll number and password, must be presented for entry into the examination hall.
