Bengaluru’s Tejas Krishna Prasad, who is a promising shooter, has recently cleared the UPSC Civil Services Examination 2023. The Covid-19 pandemic, which halted many careers, turned out to be a blessing for Tejas. He decided to shift his focus towards his dream of serving the nation as a civil servant. According to reports, Tejas is a talented air rifle marksman. During the time of lockdown, he started to pursue his aspirations in the civil service. He has achieved AIR 243. Tejas shared that his background as a sportsperson has helped him to have discipline and determination, which are both essential to cracking one of the toughest exams on his second attempt.

In a recent interview, Tejas said that being a player helped him focus on his UPSC studies. He said that most of the questions asked in the interview were related to sports. He also said that, since childhood, he has been inspired by his mother. She was also a hobby shooter herself. Tejas started his shooting journey in 2014, and within a short period of time, he ascended through the ranks to represent India on the international stage. After which, he joined the India Junior Squad in 2016. It was the encouragement of his mother and the unexpected pause brought about by the pandemic that propelled him towards civil service.

As he prepares to embark on this new chapter in his life, Tejas remains committed to continuing his passion for shooting alongside his duties as a civil servant.

Tejas’ father is a businessman. While his mother, Shailaja, is an excise inspector, Meanwhile, Tejas further shared that he used to be the top fourth shooter in India until the year 2019. He represented India and was a part of the senior team from 2018 to 2020.

Aditya Srivastava became the topper of the UPSC IAS exam in 2023. Recently, he revealed what he did differently from the previous year to rise from the 236th rank to the first. He ranked 236th in the 2022 UPSC civil service exam and opted for the Indian Police Service (IPS).

In an exclusive interview, Aditya Srivastava shared that it was mostly about identifying previous mistakes that he had made. From the initial days, he tried to correct those mistakes. He also revealed the method he followed while preparing for the exam and said that apart from hard work, it was smart work that did wonders. He also advised people studying for the UPSC civil service test to focus on self-motivation and consistency.
