NDA Registration: The most famous is the exam
The Union Public Service Commission conducts an NDA exam twice every year. To appear in the NDA exam, it is mandatory to have passed the 12th class from a recognised board/institute. Along with this, the minimum age of the candidate should not be less than 16.5 years and the maximum should not be more than 19.5 years. Interested candidates can check the details at nda.nic.in.
CDS Exam: Graduates can also take this exam
A combined Defense Services (CDS) examination is conducted every year. Details related to the CDS exam can be checked on upsc.gov.in. To appear in the CDS exam, it is mandatory to have a graduation degree after passing 10+2 in Mathematics and Physics. The minimum age of the candidate should not be more than 20 years and the maximum age should not be more than 24 years.
NCC Special Entry
The National Cadet Corps (NCC) Special Entry Recruitment is conducted only for candidates with an Air Wing Senior Division ‘C’ certificate. For this, it is necessary that the candidate has passed 10+2 in Physics and Mathematics subjects. After this, it is also mandatory to pass Graduation/BE/B.Tech in any subject with a minimum of 60% marks. The age of the candidate should be between 20 to 24 years.
AFCAT Admission Requirement
To appear for the AFCAT 2024, the candidate must have a 12th pass and be a graduate as well. If the aspirants want to opt for the flying branch, then they should have passed 12th in the science stream with at least 50 per cent marks. For the graduates, candidates from any branch are accepted with at least 60 per cent marks. Similarly, in other branches, the eligibility criteria vary as per the requirement.
