To prepare Chow Chow according to her recipe, also known as chayote, look for chayote, tomatoes, onions, and ginger in your kitchen.

  1. Once you have arranged all the vegetables on the shelf, chop them into medium size pieces.
  2. Then, heat a pan and roast cumin seeds and mustard seeds to a golden brown colour. Add curry leaves, onion, tomatoes, and sauce to the heating pan once you notice the beautiful golden shade.
  3. Remember to add salt to taste. Do not miss out on turmeric powder, and Kashmiri red chilli powder for the classic taste, either.
  4. Leave it for 4-5 minutes covered till it is boiled thoroughly. Once the wait is over, your aromatic dish will be ready to serve.
