Chelsea bid for Tottenham's Walker

23-year-old Kyle Walker is being targeted by EPL club believing he can play a crucial role at right-back for the Blues.

Caughtoffside reports newly appointed Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has bid for the English full-back and holds an edge over other current defenders in the present squad.

Walker has been at White Hart Lane from the past couple of seasons and has 95 appearances for the club. It is being reported that a switch over to Stamford Bridge would be considered a 'progress' which would lure the defender.

Tottenham Hotspur had signed Walker in 2009 at a price of £9m which later came into scrutiny after some sources declared the price to be somewhere around £15m.
