Cristiano Ronaldo Hints at Retirement, Rubbishes All Transfer Rumours
Ronaldo has stated that he shall be looking at possibly retiring from the beautiful game in the next 2-3 years, and that he shall be more inclined do so with Al Nassr themselves.

The Old Trafford faithful may have to let go of their dreams yet again, as Cristiano Ronaldo shut down all talks of a return, stating that he eyes retirement in the upcoming years, most possibly willing to call it time at Al Nassr itself.

The legendary Portuguese has inequivocably been linked with his former club, Manchester United, over the summer yet again, even after his ugly exit from Old Trafford in 2022, following a reported fall-out with manager Erik Ten Hag.

A 39-year-old Ronaldo, who also recently released a new YouTube channel that is nearing a total of 50 million subscribers, has stated that he shall be looking at possibly retiring from the beautiful game in the next 2-3 years, and that he shall be more inclined do so with Al Nassr themselves.

“I don’t know if I will retire soon, in two or three years… but probably I will retire here at Al Nassr. I’m very happy at this club, I feel good in this country too. I’m happy to play in Saudi Arabia and I want to continue,” Ronaldo was quoted as saying in an interview with NOW, as per Fabrizio Romano.

Ronaldo, who left behind a decorated legacy at Manchester United, took his talents to the Saudi Pro League in Decmeber of 2022, sparking the beginning of what would become a mass exodus of high-level players from all acorss Europe.

Ronaldo recently scored his 50th league goal for Al Nassr and is currently closing in on a career 900 goals milestone, which he can surpass when the Riyadh-based club take on Al Feiha on Tuesday, 27 August.

Despite his seemingly successful personal spell at the Saudi outlet, Ronaldo has been in the midst of a so-called unlucky streak with Al Nassr, failing to clinch any major silverware so far.

The Portuguese star has finished as a runner-up in four competitions with Al Nassr — the Saudi Super Cup, the King’s Cup, and twice in the Saudi Pro League — and remains in the hunt for his first major title with the Saudi side.

The only trophy Cristiano Ronaldo has won with Al Nassr is the Arab Club Champions Cup. However, since this tournament is organized by the Union of Arab Football Associations (UAFA) and not recognized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) or FIFA, it does not count as an official title.
