ISL: Delhi Dynamos, Mumbai City FC battle it out in a must-win tie
Mumbai have failed to score in six of their ten fixtures so far and they will be up against Delhi Dynamos on Friday in a match which is a must win for both the sides.

Mumbai City FC went all out when adding some big names to their squad but at the moment they can't seem to buy a goal in the Indian Super League (ISL).

Mumbai have failed to score in six of their ten fixtures so far and they will be up against Delhi Dynamos on Friday in a match which is a must win for both the sides.

Though Delhi will take field after an away win against NorthEast United FC, their chances of making the semi-finals are very bleak and the only slim hope they carry is win their remaining games and pray for other teams to drop points. The hosts are placed precariously at seventh position with just a couple of wins to show for in the eight-team tournament.

The visitors are in a slightly better situation, sitting sixth after winning three matches. Mumbai have equal number of victories as FC Goa and FC Pune, the two teams placed fourth and fifth respectively in the table on better goal difference. So Mumbai will be looking to cover some lost ground when they face Delhi at the Jawaharlal Nehru stadium.

Dynamos have struggled for major part of the tournament with their strikers really not up to the task. Their star striker Alessandro Del Piero have failed to find back of the net and that has been cause of disspointment as far as the management and fans are concerned. However, the strikers will be hoping that they can put some smile on the faces of their and win their remaining four games; who knows in process they might be able to make top four.

The likes of Hans Muldher, Gustavo dos Santos, Morten Skoubo and Steven Dias are a few names who have impressed so far and will be hoping to shine in Friday's game.

Mumbai, on the other hand ,will again look up to their inspirational skipper and French star Nicolas Anelka to get them the goals they have failed to score consistently. While there is no dearth of stars in the Mumbai line-up, they have somehow failed to score in six of their 10 outings.

Besides Anelka, they have another Arsenal great in Freddie Ljungberg, names that catches one's attention, but the former duo are yet to play together in the competition. However, former Bolton midfielder Andre Moritz has emerged as one of the side's key attacking players and coach Peter Reid will be hoping that they can get a positive result away from home.

Lalrindika Ralte and Nadong Bhutia have been bitterly disappointing so far. The former has enjoyed more time on the pitch but has regularly let his side down not just with his wayward shooting and poor crosses but also with his complete lack of awareness.

So Friday's game will be one of the most important for Mumbai as a win can lift them up the table but a loss can all but end their chances of making it to the top four.
