After registering their 20th English Premiere League title, Manchester United coach Sir Alex Ferguson has expressed a keen desire to bring in Real Madrid star striker Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, the Sun reported on Monday.
Ronaldo, who left United in 2009 for Madrid at a whopping £80 million has two more years remaining in his contract and if the rumour mills are to be believed, it might be his last stay at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Earlier this year, it was learnt that the 28-year old is eventually favouring a return to the side which made him a sensation in the first place. According to the Sun, a source close to United was quoted as saying the Red Devils have contacted Ronaldo's agent to show their interest.
The report also said that as of now, Ronaldo's prime focus remains on Madrid's clash against Borussia Dortmund in the Champion's League semi-final.
