London: Chelsea's new manager Jose Mourinho has clarified that he has no intention of selling his star players.
According to media reports, Chelsea may offload several players in order to trim their squad with Branislav Ivanovic, David Luiz, Fernando Torres and Juan Mata in line to be sold. But Mourinho has rubbished all these claims and said all these senior players will play key role in the club's future.
Paris St Germain have showed interest in Ivanovic and are ready to pay £8 million. On this Mourinho told Sky Sports News: "They didn't contact Chelsea. If there was any interest, it was not official".
Asked if any departures are required, he added: "No. The club is solid. The club is very well organised, the numbers are correct".
"We as a club want to follow the Financial Fair Play rules, but we are in a very stable situation".
This is for sure, Mourinho is desperately looking to sign a striker and now that Edinson Cavani has joined PSG, Chelsea eye Wayne Rooney who at the moment looks unsettled at Manchester United.
