Real Madrid unveil Kaka, aim to restore old glory
Real Madrid fans believe dominance of Galacticos is now certain to return.

New Delhi: Real Madrid have spent a fortune to sign him on but the fans think its money well spent as Kaka was unveiled at the Santiago Bernabeu to a packed house. The fans believe the dominance of the Galacticos is now certain to return.

The Santiago Bernabeu swelled way beyond capacity as die-hard Madrid fans thronged in as the Galacticos dynasty was reinstated and the central figure was Kaka.

The roaring welcome did wonders for Kaka, as he immediately connected with the multitude that was roaring in delight at Madrid's newest superstar.

""My desire is to write my name into the history of this club, with all of its trophies and victories. Hello, Madrid!" said Kaka.

It isn't just the gigantic swarm that will roar every time he touches the ball that Kaka needs to keep in mind.

Undoubtedly one of the best footballers today, Kaka knows the huge task at hand - for he is now part of an institution with rich history, but at the same time, is struggling to maintain its powerful status as one of the best clubs in the world today.

"Real Madrid has all the fascination of football. Among us, the players, when I'm with the Brazil national team or when I talk to some other players that have already played at Real Madrid, I've always had great references. So that's why I've always had it clear in my mind - if one day I had to leave Milan I would like to play in Real Madrid. And today I'm here," said Kaka.

Kaka will join forces with the mercurial Cristiano Ronaldo in a re-incarnation of Real's Galacticos as the club will look to erase recent bitter memories that have left it trailing Spanish rivals Barcelona by a mile.

Of course, the Kaka-Ronaldo combine will look to ensure success in Europe, something Real desperately wants back.

"I still don't know Ronaldo's number but there is not going to be any rivalry between me and Cristiano. We both are compatible players who can play together without a problem. I'm sure that not even out on the pitch there is going to be any rivalry on my side or on his side. We are both professional and experienced players not to have any vanity or rivalry," said the Brazilian.

Though Kaka has preferred to wear the No. 8 jersey instead of Zinedine Zidane's famous No. 5 at Real, he knows the burden of a not too-inspiring legacy of the previous Galacticos will be something both he and Ronaldo need to conquer.

So will the world's best players make up the best football club?

What's your reaction?
