How to Catch Thundurus in Pokémon White
How to Catch Thundurus in Pokémon White
Thundurus is a fast Flying/Electric-type Pokémon. What makes it so hard to catch is that it's a roaming Pokémon, as well as a legendary. We're here to walk you through exactly how to catch it, without using the Master Ball Professor Juniper gave you. Have fun adding this new Pokémon to your Pokédex!
Steps

Go to the Pokémon League past Victory Road.

You may find a Pokémon with a helpful move or ability. A move like Mean Look or an ability like Shadow Tag keeps it from escaping right when the battle starts.

Buy balls at the Pokémon Center.

Buy a couple Quick Balls and some regular Pokeballs. You may need a lot of Ultra Balls and Timer Balls. Make sure you obtained a Quick Ball, because that's what you will be throwing at Thundurus.

Go to a gate and look on the bulletin board.

See where there is an "unusual" thunderstorm. Go to that route.

Go in the tall grass.

The regular Pokémon music won't pop up. It'll be different and the graphics are different too. It should be raining hard and expect lightning and thunderbolts.

Try to keep it from running away.

Use Mean Look or Shadow Tag (or something similar). Otherwise, it will bounce all over Unova, making it hard to keep up with and track down.

Plan your attacks carefully and catch Thundurus.

Don't bother attacking unless you have a good move. Moves like Thunder Wave (Blitzle or Zebstrika) or Hypnosis (Musharna) work well. Avoid a burn, however (Will-O-Wisp). If your Pokémon doesn't have that move or Mean Look, just throw a Quick Ball at it.

What's your reaction?
