Deleting your House Party account is really easy if you’re using an iPhone. You can just delete your account right through the app. If you’re using a Mac computer or Android device, you’ll actually need to email House Party and request that your account be deleted (we know, it’s kind of frustrating). Below you’ll find step-by-step instructions for whatever type of device you’re using.

Steps

Deleting Your Account on iPhone

Open Houseparty on your iPhone. The Houseparty app looks like a yellow waving hand in a pink icon. It will open up to the camera screen.

Tap the smiley icon on the top-left. This will open your friends list in a new pop-up. If you have any notifications, you'll see a box with a number in it instead of a smiley icon.

Tap the gear icon on the top-left. You'll see this button in the upper-left corner of the friends window. It will open the Settings menu.

Scroll down and tap Privacy. This option is listed next to a lock icon. It will open your privacy options.

Tap Delete Account. This is the last option on the Privacy menu. You will have to confirm your action in a pop-up window.

Tap Yes in the confirmation window. This will prompt you to enter your account password before your account deletion is complete.

Enter your password. Tap the password field, and type your Houseparty password here.

Tap OK. This will verify your password. You'll be prompted to confirm deletion one last time.

Tap Delete. This will confirm your final action, and delete your Houseparty account.

Deleting via Email

Open your mailbox. You can open your mailbox in an internet browser or use any mobile or desktop mail client app. Since Houseparty's Android and desktop apps don't allow you to delete your account, you will have to send an email request to the support team in order to get your account deleted.

Start a new email. Without an iPhone, you will have to send an email to Houseparty's support team in order to delete your account.

Type [email protected] into the "To" field. This is Houseparty's support mailbox. You can send an email request here to delete your account.

Type Request to Delete Account in the "Subject" field. This will help you quickly get your request across to the support team.

Type your request to delete your account in the email body. Simply request that your account be deleted immediately, and make sure to include your full name, Houseparty username, email address, and phone number in your message. Optionally, you can also ask to receive an email confirmation upon account deletion.

Send the email message. This will send your request to the Houseparty support team. Your account and all your personal information should be deleted as soon as your request is processed.
