Launch the Instagram app on your device. Log in to your account, if you haven't already done so. When you open the app, you will be taken to your feed. Make sure that Instagram notifications are not disabled in your system settings. On Android, navigate to Settings > Apps & Notifications > Instagram > Notifications and ensure they are enabled.
Navigate to an Instagram account. Use the search box to easily find your preferred account. Remember that you need to follow the account to enable the push notification. If you're not already following them, hit the “Follow” button to continue.
Tap on the bell icon. You will see the notification icon at the top-right corner of the app. The notification settings will show up.
Enable notification for posts. Tap on the slider next to the Posts option. The grey slider will turn to blue colour after doing so. Afterwards, you will receive push notifications for any future posts from the user.
Enable notification for stories. Switch the slider next to the Stories option to receive push notifications for the user's Stories. You can also enable notifications for IGTV videos from the same settings tab.
You're done! If you want to disable the push notifications, just tap once again the slider. This will turn the blue slider to grey. That's all!
