How to Use Bluetooth Headphones on Android
This wikiHow teaches you how to connect wireless Bluetooth headphones to your Android phone or tablet.
Steps

Swipe down from the top of the home screen. This opens your Android’s notification panel.

Tap and hold the Bluetooth icon. It looks like a sideways bow-tie (though if Bluetooth is turned off, there will be a line through it). This opens the Bluetooth settings. You may have to tap Settings or More Settings on some Androids to open the Bluetooth settings.

Slide the switch to the On Android 7 Switch On position. This enables Bluetooth and starts scanning for nearby devices. If Bluetooth was already enabled, tap ⁝ at the top-right corner of the screen, then select Refresh.

Turn on your Bluetooth headphones and put them into pairing mode. Make sure the headphones are in “discovery” or “pairing” mode by following the instructions in their manual. When your Android discovers the headphones, they’ll appear on the screen under “Available devices.”

Tap the headphones under “Available devices.” This will begin pairing. Once the headphones are paired, they’ll appear under “Paired devices.” If prompted to enter a pairing code, enter the code that came with your headphones. If you do not know the code (or no code came with your headphones), try 1111, 1234, or 0000. These are extremely common pairing codes.

Open an app that plays music or video. Now that your headphones are paired, your Android will automatically play all audio through them as long as they’re connected.

What's your reaction?
