Ways You Can Tell Someone Blocked You on Instagram
How do you know if someone blocked you on Instagram? It's an easy mistake that we've all made to think that someone may have blocked you when they actually only restricted you. This wikiHow article lists the most reliable ways to find out who blocked you on Instagram.
Quickly Check Who Blocked You on Instagram

Search for their account.

If you can't find their profile, you've most likely been blocked. To start a search, tap the search icon and enter their username. You can also search online by adding their username to instagram.com/username. If their account is private and you don't see any results when you search, you've been blocked. If their account is public and you can see their username, but you can't view their profile page, post count, follower or following numbers, and the photo area says "No Posts Yet," you've been blocked. If you're on a browser page and see an error message that says "Sorry, this page isn't available," then you've been blocked or the account owner deleted that account. You can also ask a friend to see if they can find the account. If they can't see the page either, chances are high that the user deleted or temporarily deactivated their account.

Try to follow them in a web browser.

The "Follow" button won't work if you're blocked. If you get an error message or the button doesn't work, you know you've been blocked. But if the "Follow" button disappears, you're not blocked! You might, instead, be restricted.

Check their comments on your content.

Click or tap on one of their comments to see if you can view their profile. If you see a "This page is unavailable" error or are unable to see their account's details, you've most likely been blocked. If you try to comment on one of their posts, but it won't go through, don't automatically assume that you're blocked. They might have disabled comments on the post or restricted you instead.

Go to your direct messages with that person.

Even if you're blocked, Instagram will not erase your DMs. In fact, you can still send messages in a conversation even if you are blocked, but they won't be delivered. Go to the conversation and tap the profile picture of the person you think may have blocked you to go to their profile page. If you can't see their profile details or get a "User Not Found" error, you've most likely been blocked. This error can also indicate that the user deleted their account.

What's your reaction?
