1 more charge against Tiruchy Deputy Mayor

TIRUCHY: Another complaint of land grabbing was lodged against DMK’s Deputy Mayor M Anbalagan here on Tuesday.K Palanisamy (64) of KK Nagar, alleged that Anbalagan usurped his ancestral property worth `50 crore with the support of police personnel.The then K K Nagar Inspector Bharathidasan and Sub-Inspector Palraj and a few rowdies also put up a wall around the land, he alleged. Though Palanisamy alerted the DCP who sent a team to chase away the rowdies, the compound wall was left as it was, he said.Palanisamy alleged that Bharathidasan and Palraj also forcibly took away both his sons and locked them up in the station.The Inspector returned to monitor work on erecting a shed in the land. “He asked me why I should own such an expensive land and asked us to part with it. He also forced us to sign on a blank sheet of paper,” he said.
