A 14-year-old girl died of electrocution and two others were injured when they accidentally stepped into a water pool where a live wire had fallen at an under construction building in Karmanghat on Sunday.
The victims are identified as Nandini (14), a resident of LB Nagar, and Sohan (16) and Divya (14) who were hospitalised with severe injuries.
At around 2.30 pm on Sunday, Nandini came to her uncle Shyam Raju’s house at Mahalakshmi Nagar. Raju is constructing a new house in the same colony and his children, Sohan and Divya, took Nandini to show the building.
After entering into the building, they stepped on a water pool where a live wire has fallen and suffered a severe electric shock. Nandini died on the spot, police said. Police registered a case of suspicious death.
