2 students drown in Wyra Reservoir

KHAMMAM: Two engineering students drowned in Wyra reservoir on Wednesday. Wyra DSP K Krishnarjuna Rao said P Anil Kumar (22) of V Venkatayapalem village in Khammam urban mandal and K Rishi (23) of Tiruvuru in Krishna district were second year BTech students of Swarna Bharati Institute of Technology in Khammam. Their college remained closed in response to the bandh call given by the Telangana Students JAC demanding deletion of clause 14(f) from the Presidential Order.  The duo went to Wyra reservoir for swimming. While swimming, Anil and Rishi accidentally drowned.  The bodies of the two students were retrieved from the reservoir and sent to Madhira government hospital for postmortem.
