HYDERABAD: The state may witness yet another byelection as there is a possibility of the speaker accepting resignations of pro-Jagan MLAs. Twenty six MLAs including 23 from the Congress, two TDP and one PRP MLA submitted their resignations on Monday to the legislature secretary.According to sources, Speaker Nadendla Manohar, who was away in his home constituency Tenali and expected to return to the city in another two to three days, is likely to call for one-to-one meeting with the legislators concerned before taking a final decision on the resignations.Meanwhile, the three Congress MLAs loyal to Jagan - K Surekha, K Satyavathi and Jayasudha have not submitted their resignations along with others claiming that the Speaker should accept the ones they have already given earlier for T cause. But sources said that they have to submit resignation letters afresh as this was for a different cause. The issue pertaining to their previous resignations was a closed one as the Speaker had already rejected them along with others, the sources added. However, it is learnt, that these three MLAs were not ready to submit resignations again. They fear that if they submit fresh resignation and if they are accepted, they may face defeat in the byelections in the T region. They were of the view that submission of resignations afresh would send wrong signals to people of T region that they are supporting Seemandhra people.
