HYDERABAD: Hours after a person had jumped to death from the Country Club building, after losing huge amounts in gambling, Task Force sleuths raided three places on Tuesday night and arrested 36 persons for indulging in gambling.The sleuths recovered more than Rs 1.43 lakh cash and 36 mobile phones. The raids were conducted on Balaji lodge at Barkatpura, Derby lodge near Kacheguda station and in JS Reddy lodge at Champapet, following information of some persons indulging in gambling.“The nabbed were found playing ‘three cards’ which is a game of chance,” additional deputy commissioner of police (Task Force), M Srinivasulu saidNine persons were nabbed from Balaji lodge, 10 in Derby and 17 from the lodge at Champapet.The games were being organised by Ambati Mahesh Kumar at Balaji lodge, N Nithin at Derby and R Badraiah at Champapet.They are inviting persons known to them for playing the game and collecting money to organise the common gaming houses, Srinivasulu said.The nabbed were handed over to Kacheguda and Saidabad police for further action.
