4 medicos in trouble for entering ladies hostel

TIRUNELVELI: Following reports that a group of students from Tirunelveli Medical College trespassed into the women’s hostel and created unruly scenes on May 23 during a Hostel Day function, four students have been suspended. A top official said that they were suspended following an enquiries by the college council. “Disciplinary proceedings were taken since they trespassed the main gate and violated the hostel rules and regulations,” the official said. Sources confirmed that the four students were in an inebriated condition and they created unruly scenes.The source also noted that all the students, accepted their mistake. “The college council, after informing the government bodies, took the decision to suspend them,” the official said, adding, “to prevent incidents in the future, cameras and have been installed and the hostel security has been increased.”
