An undertrial prisoner lodged in the district jail died allegedly due to an asthama attack, police said.
65-year-old Jamal succumbed to asthama in jail on Monday, Jailor of the district jail, Mizazi Lal said. The undertrial was arrested two years ago in a case of robbery. He was under treatment from Loknayak hospital in Delhi, he said.
The body has been sent for post mortem and a judicial inquiry has been ordered into the prisoner's death, Lal said.
