HYDERABAD: As many as 84 nominations, out of the total 365 filed for June 12 byelections to one Lok Sabha and 18 Assembly constituencies in the state have been rejected by the Election Commission after scrutiny on Saturday.State chief electoral officer Bhanwarlal told newsmen here on Saturday that six out of 19 nominations filed for Nellore Lok Sabha constituency have been rejected after scrutiny.In respect of 18 Assembly constituencies, 78 nominations were rejected and 268 were accepted. The largest number of 14 nominations were rejected in Parakal in Warangal district.However, the last date for withdrawal of nominations is May 28.The CEO said Rs 23.50 crore unaccounted  cash was seized during regular searches at special check posts in the 12 districts, where byelections were due. Also, 1.35 lakh litres of illicit liquor was seized and 9,154 cases were booked in this regard, he added.
