Congress leader accused of inciting mob to attack Sikhs.
New Delhi: A Delhi court on Wednesday issued a non-bailable warrant for the arrest of Congress leader Sajjan Kumar and six others in connection with 1984 anti-Sikh riots cases.
Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate Lokesh Kumar issued the warrants for February 23.
The court also rejected the exemption application filed by all the six accused in the case.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had filed a charge sheet against Sajjan Kumar and others in two cases for allegedly instigating some mobs that killed over 3,000 Sikhs across Delhi in the days following the assassination of then prime minister Indira Gandhi October 31, 1984.
