To clear the pending files, the department needs 9,000 more employees, he added. He recalled that the unique scheme of Sagu Rythu Rakshana Hastam was sanctioned for 6 lakh tenant farmers who were given loans. and other benefits. By the end of 2012, the scheme will be sanctioned for 26 lakh tenant farmers, he said. The revenue department will soon implement the Koneru Ranga Rao Committee’s recommendations in state and will also computerise all land records. “I want to put details of the revenue department and farmers on internet for transparent governance,” he said. The department will also conduct a survey of private and public lands to protect tribal lands and give security from encroachment for government lands and update data on the internet, he said. There are chances of setting up revenue sub-divisions in districts, he said. Otherwise, special revenue divisions will be set up in districts collectorates to service the public, he said.
