'93 Mumbai blasts: 4 found guilty
TADA court held four accused guilty
of helping prime conspirator Tiger Memon during the 1993 Mumbai serial blasts.

Mumbai: A TADA court on Thursday gave verdict on the involvement of four accused who allegedly allowed prime conspirator Tiger Memon and his men to assemble arms and explosives smuggled from Pakistan.

Sajjad Alam, 61, who assisted in transport of arms and explosives, was found guilty. Fiaz Mohd Khan was also found guilty in aiding and abetting terror.

Another key accused Sharif Khan Abbas Adikari was found guilty under the Customs Act.

However, Ashfaq Kasam Havaldar was acquitted of the same charge for want of evidence.

All the accused are charged with taking part in conspiracy as well as in landing operations of arms and explosives at Shekhadi coast in Raigad district and transporting them to various places.

The four were taken into custody and their bail bonds were cancelled.
