HYDERABAD: Chief minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy will take a final decision soon on the pending applications submitted during Rachabanda programme held in January this year. The Cabinet sub-committee constituted for reviewing the status of the applications submitted during Rachabanda, declared that the scrutiny of about 95 per cent applications has been completed and the remaining applications will be scrutinised within a week.Speaking to reporters here on Monday, housing minister K Laxminarayana said that the government had received about 62 lakh applications with regard to ration cards, social security pensions, Aarogyasri, housing schemes and MGNREGS. “Of about 30 lakh applications received for ration cards, about 14.43 lakh applications were declared fit for consideration. Similarly, about 5.57 lakh out of the 12.88 lakh applicants were found to be eligible for pensions and 14.5 lakh of 25.75 lakh applicants are eligible for housing schemes,” he said.
