'Spanish Masala', with Dileep and Daniela Zacherl, is about an Indian who gets lost in Spain.

Kochi: Charlie, a mimicry artist, once gets an opportunity to be the part of a mimicry team and perform in Spain. But once in Spain, Charlie is unable to return to his homeland. In a strange land and without knowing any other languages except Malayalam, Charlie struggled to survive.

At that time, Camila came to his rescue. Camila is the daughter of Philip Adam, the Spanish Ambassador to India. She was in India for a long time and even knew Malayalam. She helped Charlie in finding a job.

Director Lal Jose’s new venture Spanish Masala unfolds the love story of Charlie and Camila.

The director who had earlier successfully presented the Chinese beauty, Shangshumin, and to make her dearer to families with his last big hit Arabikkatha, this time is introducing another foreign artiste to Mollywood - Daniela Zacherl as Camila.

Dileep plays the role of Charlie, the mimicry artist who later turns a cook in Spain. The movie is scripted by Benny P Nayarambalam. This is for the second time that Lal Jose-Benny-Dileep are joining their hands together and the trio's maiden venture Chanthupottu was a huge hit.

Spanish Masala is the first movie to be shot in Spain. Kunchacko Boban plays the role of Rahul, Camila's former lover, and Biju Menon plays the role of an officer in the Embassy.

Vinayaprasad and Kala Ranjini also portray major roles in the movie. Lokanathan handles the camera. Vidyasagar renders music to the lyrics penned by Rafeek Ahmmed and Venugopal.

Produced by Noushad under the banner of Big Screen, the movie is slated for a Christmas release.
