Another feather in TTPS cap

TALCHER: The 460-mw Talcher Thermal Power Station (TTPS) has emerged as the second best power plant of the power major National Thermal Power corporation (NTPC) in the last fiscal.According to NTPC sources, the power plant achieved the plant load factor at 92.56 per cent of the installed capacity in the last fiscal 2011-12.  The plant produced 3,740 million units of electricity and evacuated it to Odisha Grid Corporation. The annual loading factor of the station during the financial year has been the highest among all the NTPC stations. The unit-1 and unit-4 of 60 MW each capacity achieved PLF of 101.09 per cent and 100.08 per cent respectively, which is a record for any unit of this station since inception.
