HYDERABAD: Indian Immunologicals Ltd in association with Animal Husbandry Department organized free rabies vaccination camps across the country for pet and street dogs on the occasion of World Zoonoses Day. “In last few months rabies cases in Andhra Pradesh have increased in serious proportions. Through such initiatives we try to encourage people to bring in more and more pets and stray dogs for vaccination against rabies and also create awareness about Zoonotic diseases,” says NSN Bhargav, general manager - Animal Health, Indian Immunologicals Ltd. “Thousands of people die every year in India due to dog bites. There is a huge population of stray dogs in our country; even if we are able to vaccinate certain percentage through these camps we will be able to save several precious lives,” says N Anand, general manager - Human Health, Indian Immunologicals Ltd.
