ANANTAPUR: Speakers at a meeting held on ‘Sri Satya Sai Seva Trust affairs after the death of Baba’ on Sunday, demanded a CBI enquiry into the controversies of the trust. The meet which was organised by an NGO ‘AWAY’, expressed concern over the series of media reports against the trust, following the seizure of `35 lakh cash. They demanded resignation of trust member Ratnakar and prove his innocence.Flaying some of the trust members’ attack on the media, they said opined that it was ridiculous that the persons who had ‘tarnished’ the image of the trust, were urging the media not to malign the trust.Many leaders criticised the government for remaining a silent spectator. The participants of the meet questioned the centre and the IT department’s silence even after the seizure of cash and allegations of of disppearance of valuable ornaments from Yajurveda mandir.Meanwhile, an unidentified person created a flutter at the meet when he forced his way to the dais and gave a letter to AWAY chairman Prabhakar Chowdary and hurried out. The letter contained a threat that Chowdary will face serious conseqneces if he did not cancel the meet.
