KOCHI: The committee led by Vaikom Viswan which had been deployed by the CPM for looking into the allegations levelled against former Ernakulam CPM district secretary Gopi Kottamurickal will submit its report to the state secretariat on Thursday. The committee, which has A K Balan and M C Josephine as other members, completed the collection of evidence in this regard on Tuesday.It went through the records at Lenin Centre, the party Ernakulam district committee office. Besides, the statements from the office secretaries have also been collected. The state secretariat will discuss the report and go through the visuals captured by the candid cameras.The committee was appointed to probe into the allegations of the district secretariat members that Gopi Kottamurickal had an extra-marital relationship with a lady advocate. According to the complaint, the former district secretary had misused the party district committee office for such activities.The district secretariat members had handed over to the state secretary the camera and CDs containing the visuals of the former district secretary in a compromising position. There are also allegations that the district committee and secretariat members who raised the complaint had leaked the news. The committee is also probing into the leaking of news also. Gopi Kottamurickal is a member of the state committee.
