Kanker: Naxals on Sunday torched off 17 vehicles and machinery engaged in transportation at an iron ore mine in Kanker district of Chhattisgarh.
Earlier on Saturday evening, seven policemen were killed and a dozen were injured after Naxal ambushed them, triggering a gunbattle in the dense jungles of Sukma district.
Chhattisgarh has witnessed several deadly attacks by Naxals in the past. Five years ago, 74 CRPF jawans were killed and in 2013, 25 people, including a top Congress leader from Chhattisgarh, were killed in a Naxal ambush.
