BANGALORE: Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda will visit Delhi on Tuesday. After the swearing-in ceremony of 21 ministers on Monday, he said, “I will seek the blessings of my party leaders and the Centre’s cooperation. Essentially, this is a courtesy call.” The chief minister is also slated to call on the Central ministers of Karnataka, besides MPs from the state to apprise them of his government’s road map for development and urge them to get the projects cleared at the earliest. This would be Sadananda Gowda’s first visit to Delhi after being sworn in on August 4. Reiterating that he has no intention of announcing new schemes but would ensure the effective implementation of the programmes announced by his predecessor, Sadananda Gowda said he has directed all his ministers to monitor the day-to-day administration strictly so that the fruits reach the needy. “My dream is the same as that of my predecessor, to make Karnataka the number one state in terms of development and progress,” he said. When asked who was number two in his Cabinet, Sadananda Gowda was quick to remark that all the 21 ministers are number two. He said that the second expansion of the Cabinet would take place in about a week.
