Committees set up for biological convention

HYDERABAD: The state government on Wednesday announced the formation of various committees to host the 'Convention on Biological Diversity' (CBD) to be held in Hyderabad from October 1 to 19.The chairman of the state-level steering committee will be chief minister. He will be assisted by ministers of finance, home, (FES&T), tourism, transport, municipal administration, medical and health, I& PR, chief secretary, DGP, chairman NBA Chennai, chairman APSBDB Hyderabad, MoEF representative, PCCF, A P Hyderabad. spl CS EFS&T dept.They will review overall preparatory arrangements for organising the convention by getting feed back from various departmental/ nodal committees constituted and render guidance. The state-level coordination committee will be headed by chief secretary. The special chief secretary, EFS&T will be member convener. while principal secretaries of finance (PFS), YAT&C, TR&B, MAUD, culture, home, medical & health, GAD (Political), spl secy, GAD (Protocol), commissioner, I&PR. DGP, Prl CCF, AP Prl, CCF (WL) & CWLW, chairman-NBA, chairman-APSBDB, jt secy MoEF and professional conference organiser will be members.
