Describing the delay in announcing the Congress' candidate for the Kathua-Udhampur Lok Sabha seat as "manifestation of its leadership's confusion and nervousness", BJP on Wednesday said the people have sent out loud and clear signals of their support for Narendra Modi.
"It is a compliment for the people of the Udhampur Lok Sabha constituency who have sent out a loud and clear signal of their support to Narendra Modi as the next Prime Minister of India," BJP's Udhampur candidate Jitendra Singh told reporters in Udhampur on Wednesday.
He said the delay on the part of Congress to announce its candidate for the seat is a manifestation of its leadership's confusion and nervousness, resulting from overwhelming response to the BJP campaign in the constituency.
Singh said the people' enthusiasm during BJP's campaign in Kathua, Bani, Basohli, Billawar, Hiranagar, Udhampur and Reasi had sounded alarm bells for the Congress leadership.
Singh, who had to postpone his visit to Doda and Kishtwar on account of bad weather on Wednesday, said wherever he had gone so far the people had come out wholeheartedly in support of BJP because they "believe that this is the only party which can liberate them from clutches of corruption, mis-governance and dynasty rule.
