A 25-year-old ice cream vendor was stabbed to death during a fight near Delhi’s India Gate, late on Wednesday evening.
The accused was nabbed on Thursday morning and was brought to the police station for further interrogation.
According to the Delhi police, a case of murder under IPC Section 302 was registered and the accused was identified with the help of CCTV cameras that were installed in the nearby shops.

The deceased has been identified as Prabhakar who was attacked with knives.
On receiving the information about the attack, the police took the victim to the hospital but he later succumbed to his injuries.
As per officials, “The preliminary investigation suggests that the deceased was attacked with a knife due to a fight. The deceased has three wounds on his body, one of which is very deep, due to which he died. We have also recovered some money and a watch from the victim’s bag.”
Initial investigations have also revealed that the accused came to buy ice cream from the victim when they got into an argument, following which the accused stabbed the ice cream vendor.
Further investigation on the matter is currently underway.
