Patna: The 15-year-old conjoined twins Saba and Farah Saleem have been admitted to a Patna hospital in a critical condition. Saba and Farah have been kept in the ICU and a team of doctors is constantly monitoring their condition.
Doctors say that if they are operated upon to separate their head, then only one of the twins will survive.
Earlier this year, the Supreme Court ordered the Bihar government to give financial help to Saba and Farah and take care of their medical expenses along with regular check up of the twins.
Directing the state government to provide financial help to the family of the twins, the court also ordered Patna Medical College and Hospital to undertake regular checkups of Saba and Farah.
Bihar government pays Rs 5,000 to their family every month for their medical check-up.
