Washington: Desperate Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan has been sued by her former manager Rob Lee for breach of contract.
Lee, who does business under the label of Bayonne Entertainment, has accused Sheridan of reneging on a verbal agreement, requiring her to pay him 10 per cent of her gross income.
He claims that the girlfriend of crooner Michael Bolton fired him in 2004 only because she wanted to avoid shelling out the sum they had agreed upon, reports Contactmusic.
Lee also claims himself to be the one whose advice helped Sheridan revive her acting career, as he urged her to audition for Desperate Housewives, and then persuaded her to appear for the crucial second audition, which won her Edie Britt’s role.
The Knots Landing actress has, however, filed papers with the California State Agency claiming that Lee was not licensed as a talent agent when he worked for her, and thus the contract they entered into at that time was void.
A hearing on Sheridan’s appeal and several other issues regarding the case is scheduled for November 29.
