Dharam Singh seeks action on report

GULBARGA: Former chief minister and Bidar MP N Dharam Singh has appreciated the report submitted by Lokayukta as a “good report.” Speaking to The New Indian Express, Dharam Singh said that Lokayukta Justice N Santosh Hegde has taken much pain in preparing the report and it is very near to truth.He demanded Chief Minister B S Yeddyurappa to step down from his post immediately as his name has figured in the report.He said the chief minister cannot take any action on the report as he is one of the accused according to the Lokayukta investigations.He said the new chief minister must take action on the report submitted by Lokayukta, a constitutionally established body. The former chief minister requested Governor H R Bhardwaj to act on the report as a copy of the report was also submitted to him.“The report submitted by Lokayukta has proved that I am not involved in mining scam and I have not permitted mining when I was the chief minister,” Dharam Singh said while heaving a sigh of relief.
