DVSs white paper to call opps bluff

BANGALORE: Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda has said that the state government will come out with a white paper on the contribution and performance of various state governments on power front starting 2000 till 2011.“It is the right time to call the bluff of both the Congress and the JD(S) whose insensitivity and callousness towards power is responsible for the present crisis. The white paper will contain meticulous information to expose the Opposition parties,” the chief minister said.He said the government has taken meaningful steps to augment power supply by starting many units, in Bellary, Yermaras and Gulbarga. “The new units in Bellary will start generating power from early 2012. It is our contribution. The work on the thermal plant in Chattisgarh is going on in full swing. I propose to visit the site shortly. There is no truth in the charges made by Congress and the JD(S) that the BJP government’s contribution to power is nil,” Sadananda Gowda said.He added, “The UPA-led Central government is to be blamed for the non-supply of coal at the right time despite our repeated pleas to them.”
