NEW DELHI: Strong tremors were felt in New Delhi and other parts of the National Capital Region (NCR) around 4.30 am on Thursday as a 4.4 magnitude earthquake struck neighbouring Haryana.
According to the US Geological Survey, the epicentre of the quake was Bawal in Haryana's Rewari district and it occurred at a depth of 10 kms.
There were immediately no reports of damage or casualties in Delhi and surrounding areas.
Many citizens took to Twitter to talk about the tremors that rattled buildings and lasted for nearly a minute and woke them up from their sleep.
